baldwin
Jeffrey Baldwin, B.A. (Hon.), LL.B - jeff@dbf-law.ca

Jeff obtained his B.A. in 1983 and his LL.B. in 1986. He articled with the firm and subsequently became a partner. Jeff is a general practitioner with emphasis in the areas of Wills, estates, corporate/commercial law, real estate and municipal law. Jeff is an active volunteer within and outside the legal community. He currently is a Bencher for the Law Society of Saskatchewan. Jeff and his wife, Deb, have a blended family that includes five adult children and two grandchildren. Jeff enjoys scuba diving, snowboarding, hiking, boating and other outdoor activities.

Aaron Friedman, B.A., LL.B - aaron@dbf-law.ca

Aaron obtained his B.A. in 1998 from the University of Alberta and his LL.B. in 2005 from the University of Saskatchewan. He articled with the firm in 2005 and became a partner in 2010. Aaron is involved in numerous volunteer activities in the Battlefords. He is a past president and director at the Battlefords' Boys and Girls Club. Aaron and his wife, Jennie, have three children.

Ivan Frank
Ivan Frank, B.A. (Cum laude), LL.B.

Ivan was born and raised on a farm north of Southey, Saskatchewan. Immediately after his graduation from the University of Saskatchewan in 1978, he began the practice of law in North Battleford. Since that time, he has enjoyed the privilege of dealing with his many long time clients. In his spare time, Ivan enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his grandchildren.

Michelle Spence
Michelle Spence, B.Sc., LL.B.

Michelle grew up in North Battleford. She obtained a Bachelor of Science in 2004 and her law degree in 2009 both from the University of Alberta. She articled and practiced in Calgary, Alberta until 2009, following which she worked for three years as in-house counsel to a large oil and gas equipment manufacturer in Calgary, Alberta. Michelle joined the firm in January 2015. She enjoys snowmobiling, boating, travel and spending time with her daughter, Lena.

Mitchell Cooper
Mitchell Cooper, J.D.

Mitchell obtained his law degree in 2014 at the University of Saskatchewan, after completing three years in political science and economics at Grant MacEwan University in Edmonton. He commenced articles with the firm in the spring of 2014 and received his call to the bar in June 2015. Mitchell has a general practice. He is active in the community and involved in several capacities in public affairs. He became a Director of the Battlefords Chamber of Commerce in 2015. Prior to attending university, he played one year of junior hockey in El Paso, Texas. He continues to play senior hockey for the Battleford Blues. Mitchell is an avid hunter and enjoys weekends at the lake. Mitchell and his wife were recently married and are proud to call the Battlefords their home.

Kelsey Elliott Trotchie
Kelsey Elliott Trotchie, B.A., J.D.

Kelsey was born and raised in North Battleford. She graduated from North Battleford Comprehensive High School in 2009. She then attended the University of Saskatchewan where she obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Psychology in 2016, and her Law Degree in 2017. Kelsey returned to North Battleford to article with the firm and was called to the bar in 2018. Kelsey has a general practice. From a young age Kelsey has been actively involved in the community and she hopes to become more involved now that she is back in the Battlefords. Kelsey and her husband Peter are happy to be back in the Battlefords. In her spare time Kelsey enjoys camping, fishing, boating, reading, and spending time with her friends and family.
